North Grenville Chamber Partners with Ontario Chamber of Commerce to Support Local Businesses Amid U.S. Tariff Challenges
Providing Education and Resources for Business Owners

The Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) is ramping up its efforts to educate and support business owners in response to the recently imposed 25% tariffs on various U.S. products, even with the 30-day extension we need to plan ahead.

As part of this initiative, the OCC is providing a comprehensive list of affected products, which will be available to members through both the Ontario Chamber’s website and the North Grenville Chamber of Commerce website. By ensuring local businesses have access to the latest and most accurate information, this initiative empowers business owners to make informed decisions in a rapidly changing economic environment.
“Our partnership with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce is a vital step in keeping our local business community informed and prepared for these unexpected trade policy changes,” said Terri-Lyn, Executive Director of the NG Chamber. “Together, we are committed to providing the resources and educational tools necessary to help businesses navigate these challenges successfully.”

In addition to sharing key information, the NG Chamber remains dedicated to promoting local businesses through marketing initiatives and spotlight features. While not all products in our local stores are Canadian made, we continue to encourage a strong “shop local” mindset to support our community’s economic resilience.
