The Community Retrofit Loan Program
provides financial assistance for
industrial retrofits, façade improvements and interior and exterior retrofits.
Repayable, non-interest bearing loans, amortized over up to five years,
are available to qualifying businesses and commercial property owners in
Augusta, Edwardsburgh/Cardinal, North Grenville and Prescott.
Industrial retrofits that enhance the commercial property and/or increase business
competitiveness are eligible. Home based business exterior retrofits will be considered
eligible where a clearly designated business entrance exists. Façade improvements
include storefront improvements, repair or restoration of heritage elements, signage,
lighting, awnings and other related improvements. Façade improvements that are in
accordance with design guidelines supported by the local municipality and/or
the local business association will be given priority.
